You know that feeling you get when that certain nerve in your leg gets that twitchin' feeling? This most likely is because your hearing something that definately appeals to you. After listening to Jim Byrom's new CD, Whiskey Uniform, it has crossed my mind wondering where has he been all these years. This is one hundred percent Texas Honkytonk dance music at its best. Jim has showcased his songwriting talent as well as his sensational vocals along with some of the finest musicians Texas has to offer. After fifteen years in the music industry, Jim Byrom works with the best, having Bobby Flores and Yellow Rose Records produce this album. Jim‚s sister, Crystal Byrom along with Christine Mims and Sandra Carroll has simply redefined background vocals. Jim Loessberg, Rick Price and Randy Reinhard on steel, Phil Dalmolin and Phil Fisher on drums, Crystal Byrom and Bobby Flores on the fiddles, Bobby said Crystal is awesome, when you hear this CD, I know you‚ll agree.
Randy Reinhard on piano, Allen Chapman and Alan Kolby on bass guitar and Jerrad Green, percussion. Combine these great Texas musicians along with Jim Byrom and your looking at Whiskey Uniform to climb the charts all over the country. Jim Byrom‚s new CD
Has been a long time coming, but it was definitely worth the wait. Remember that nerve in you leg that „Twitches‰ when you hear good country music, well that little nerve trickles down to your foot and ends, causing that good feeling to tap your toes. Whiskey Uniform will trigger that nerve, believe me!

"Byrom's Style is a lot closer to traditional country, with lots of shuffles and honky-tonkers with a contemporary feel that is heavy on the fiddle and steel guitar - and tequila and heartache.... showing skill as a singer as well as a song writer with fluid vocals and snappy tunes...

Man, it's 3:00 AM and I've just got to let you guys know that the new Jim Byrom CD is absolutely the best I have ever heard. In my thirty years of listening to and playing music on the radio, I have never been more impressed. Any one of the ten cuts are, without a doubt, potential #1 tunes. Not only is Jim as good a vocalist as anyone in the business today, but the production on this CD is "Top Of The Line". My hat goes off to all of you, Bobby Flores, Bill Green and all the musicians included on this fantastic work of art. I want to thank you all for putting a copy in my hands and you can rest assured it will be heard on the Randy Ray Radio program.Ya'll keep up the good work!!! Sincerely,
Randy Ray, KACT Radio Andrews Texas

Truly there must be something special about Texas' air, for that State
continually turns out great talents like Jim Byrom, young San Antonio singer. Indeed, Whiskey Uniform (Yellow Rose Records
www.yellowroserecords.com) may well be the best country music album of the year. Wonderful voice; fine lyrics that speak a language so dear both to true-born Texans and to adoptive Texans (those that, while born elsewhere
in the world, still feel like they're Texans at heart); great music (thanks
to the magic touch of Bobby Flores, also producer of this CD); and then a
lot of steel and fiddle. Whiskey Uniform, County Line, Cuervo No Salt,
Honky Tonk Band: just the titles hold a lot of charm to them, particularly
to those that are used to feeding on country music from the Lone Star State.
The first track, How Lonely Does Lonely Get, is the leading single of this
CD. A fast two-step, well suited to radio hearing, with a catchy refrain
that's sure to get you electrified at once. Till You Found Me is a nice
backgound track: Bobby Flores' guitar and fiddle lead the tempo, while
Jim's voice gets even deeper and warmer. For the title track Whiskey
Uniform, Jim Byrom displays a voice a-la Dwight Yoakam in a song full of
shuffle and feeling. Buck Owens is still a good teacher and music flows
nice and smooth as a good glass of whiskey-on-the-rocks. County Line is
one of those big, heartbreaking ballads: together with Let Forever Start
Tonight and Walkin' Slow, it makes up this album's only three songs not written by Jim Byrom himself. So we find out Jim's also an excellent songwriter. Cuervo No Salt is the most country/rock track here, while Three At A Time is another great two-step. After slowing the pace a bit with Someone Like You (I could almost believe George Strait or Rhett Akins were doing the singing), we're off to the grand finale with Walkin' Slow and then Honky Tonk Band, where the influence of Buck Owens' Bakersfield Sound is if felt again. In short, a flawless album you should get at once. Thank you for your music Jim Byrom. Whiskey Uniform blows some fresh Texas air in the heart and ears of true country music lovers.
